Katie McNeill promoted to Outsourcing Team Leader

We are proud to announce that Katie McNeill has been promoted to Outsourcing Team Leader.

Katie joined Tree as an apprentice in 2022, wanting to further her accounting knowledge after studying the subject at A-Level. Since then, she has become AAT qualified and is now working towards her ACCA qualification.

Katie has been a key member of the Outsourcing team since its origin, supporting clients with their bookkeeping, playing a vital role in VAT returns and management accounts.

Head of People, Zoe Hynes, commented: “Katie has been an integral part of the Outsourcing team since it was created over 2 years ago, to meet growing demand for this service.

During this time, she has become AAT qualified, developed great working relationships with clients and the wider Tree team, and developed her cloud software skills.”

In addition to her existing responsibilities, Katie will now:

• Lead innovation for the Outsourcing team – researching, reviewing and supporting the implementation of new software, to improve internal efficiency and strengthen the financial processing and reporting approach for clients
• Support with the organisation of the Outsourcing team – working to the strengths of each individual to identify the best fit for each project
• Track and monitor key projects to identify opportunities to optimise existing processes

Katie joined Tree as an ambitious apprentice wanting to learn the key fundamentals of accountancy and she continues to display this ambition as she works towards achieving her ACCA qualification.

Collaboration:

Katie is a strong collaborator, often taking time to support more junior members of the team.

Innovation:

Katie is proficient in outsourcing systems including Xero, Dext and Sage. She is always quick to adapt to new technology and support others new to the software.

On her new role as Outsourcing Team Leader, Katie commented “Having been part of the Outsourcing team since it was created, I am really looking forward to playing a greater role in its continued optimisation and development.

I am particularly excited to integrate new systems into our ways of working, making processes more efficient for both our clients and the internal team.”
